Ilford Recorder: What�s your connection with the borough?

Samina Siddiqi: I work as a community volunteer focusing on charity events and other kinds of fundraising. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to worth with Redbridge Food Bank, Macmillan Cancer Support and the British Legion�s Poppy Appeal among other things.

IR: What�s the best thing about working or living in the borough?

SS: The fact that people of all ethnicities, faiths and backgrounds are all welcome here. This ties in excellently with the motto of my community, the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, which is �Love for All Hatred for None�. I have wonderful neighbours and I genuinely am proud to live here. I also love the Ilford Exchange � it�s very convenient and a real godsend!
