Ilford Recorder: Whats your connection with the borough?
Samina Siddiqi: I work as a community volunteer focusing on charity events and other kinds of fundraising. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to worth with Redbridge Food Bank, Macmillan Cancer Support and the British Legions Poppy Appeal among other things.
IR: Whats the best thing about working or living in the borough?
SS: The fact that people of all ethnicities, faiths and backgrounds are all welcome here. This ties in excellently with the motto of my community, the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, which is Love for All Hatred for None. I have wonderful neighbours and I genuinely am proud to live here. I also love the Ilford Exchange its very convenient and a real godsend!
